India's Harshita Jakhar claimed silver medal in the Junior Women's Point Race at the Asian Track Cycling Championships in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, on Monday.

Harshita finished with 405 points, behind Chinese Taipei's Tsai Tung Wen, who accumulated 450 points. Uzbekistan's Samira Ismailova was third on 360 points.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo Laitonjam qualified for the final of the Men's 1km Time Trial. He finished in the top five to qualify alongside China's Qi Liu, Japan's Ryuto Ichida, Malaysia's Muhammad Fadhil Zonis, and Kazakhstan's Kirill Kurdidi. Ronaldo clocked 1:01.238 to ensure his qualification.

Ronaldo, a 22-year-old native of Manipur, has won multiple medals in recent years, including a pair of silver, in the Asian Championship.
