Kerala bag nine medals, including three gold, at indoor rowing nationals

Alappuzha: Kerala bagged nine medals, including three gold, at the 7th National Indoor Rowing Championships at Moga in Punjab.
In Senior Women's Pairs, Aleena Anto and Saniya J Krishnan bagged gold with a timing of 7:44.5. Sreedevi Rajesh and Shivani Rigish finished first in the Sub-Junior Girls Pairs event clocking 1:49.1.

The third gold medal came in the Mixed Fours event in the junior category. The team comprising Gourinanda K, Alan Joshy, Hrishi M Nair and Amala Rose finished first on 1:37.6.

Three of Kerala's medals came in individual events. Angel Mary Thomas clocked 1:48.3 for silver in the Sub-Junior Women's event. Gourinanda K bagged silver (7:35.8) in the Junior Women's event and Adwaith K S took bronze (6:31.2) in the Men's category.

In the Sub-Junior Boys Pairs, Kerala's Abdul Hadhi and Goutham Krishna (1:37.3) took silver. Hadhi and Krishna were also part of the Sub-Junior Mixed Fours team that claimed bronze. Shivani Girish and Bincy Binu were the other members of the Fours team that clocked 1:43.4.

Adwaith, Aleena and Saniya completed a double by taking Bronze in the Open Mixed Fours event. Adwaid J P Nambiar was the other member of the team that finished on 1:36.0.
