Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has announced the launch of a film studio partnering with Hollywood filmmaker Matthew Vaughn. In a social media post, Cristiano said he and Vaughn have started 'an independent joint venture film studio' called UR.MARV.

The Portuguese great announced that UR.MARV has financed and produced two action films and was about to start a third one in the same series. The first release is expected to be announced soon. "This is an exciting chapter for me as I look ahead to new ventures in business," Cristiano posted.

Vaughn has made action movies such as 'Kick-Ass', and X-Men and Kingsman film series'. Vaughn said he was looking forward to creating inspiring movies with Cristiano. "He's a real-life superhero," Vaughn said.

The 40-year-old Ronaldo still continues to produce top-level performances for the Portugal national team and Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr. He is a five-time Ballon d'Or winner and is widely regarded as an all-time great alongside Argentine icon Lionel Messi.
