Kerala Blasters suffered their heaviest defeat of the season in the Kerala Premier League after a 4-0 defeat to Muthoot FA at Kunnamkulam on Wednesday.
Muhammed Ashar N A bagged a brace while substitute Febil K added a fourth after defender Sherin Salari scored an own goal to hand the Blasters a hat-trick of defeats in the KPL.
The Blasters lost 3-1 to Kerala Police on April 2 but had not conceded more than three goals in any of their nine matches this season in the KPL. The Blasters had lost 2-0 to Kerala United FC in the seventh round on March 25.
Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters are fielding their reserves squad in the KPL, which is Kerala's premier men's football league. Noor Alam is the coach of the Blasters side that was led by goalkeeper Muhammed Jaseen today.
