Matchdays at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium are no less a date with the beautiful game for the club's supporters, affectionately called 'gooners'. Now, the Premier League heavyweights have upped their game by launching a 'dating show' for its 'single' supporters in the UK.
Arsenal have shared an article on their website titled 'The Big Match. "We are calling on our single supporters in the UK to apply to be part of the production, which will involve attending a blind date with a fellow Gooner centred around an Arsenal game," the post said.
The eligibility criteria are simple: Candidates must be aged at least 18, be a British national or living in the UK, and most importantly, single. Arsenal have said selected candidates must be ready for background checks in order to verify the information provided by them.
Arsenal are one of the most popular football clubs across the world having won three Premier League titles, the last coming in 2003-04. Coached by Mikel Arteta, Arsenal are in the hunt for the Premier League title this season, but they trail league leaders Liverpool by 12 points with 9 rounds remaining.
However, Arsenal could still end the season with a big trophy as they have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, where they are set to host Spanish giants Real Madrid in the first leg on April 9.
