Kerala Blasters have confirmed the departure of winger Rahul K P. The Thrissur-based player has joined ISL rivals Odisha FC on a permanent transfer.

Rahul joined the Blasters in 2019 and made 81 ISL appearances, scoring eight goals. The 24-year-old was not regular this season for the Blasters, featuring in 11 games, mostly as a substitute. This season, Rahul scored one league goal, the third in a 3-0 win over Chennaiyin in Kochi on November 24.

Rahul was not part of the team that secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Punjab FC in New Delhi on January 5. He last played in a 1-0 away defeat to Jamshedpur FC in the 14th round. He came on for Danish Farooq in the 83rd minute.

The Blasters' next ISL match is against Odisha in Kochi on January 13. It would be interesting to see if Rahul makes the squad against his former side.
