Indian men's football team have slumped to their lowest FIFA rankings in over seven years.

In the latest rankings released by the world football body on Thursday (November 28), India are ranked 127th. The last time India's rankings slipped further was in January 2017 when the national team was placed 129th.

India's position has steadily declined since December 2023 when the Men in Blue were placed 100th in the FIFA rankings. The last time India were ranked in double figures (99)was in July 2023.

India's rankings this year: February (117), April (121), June, July (124), September (126), October (125).

India's highest ever ranking was 94th, attained in February 1996. The men's team is now managed by Spaniard Manolo Marquez. India have not won a competitive fixture in more than a year.

Lionel Messi's Argentina top the world rankings, followed by France, Spain, England and Brazil. Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal have climbed a place to sixth.
