Defender Milos Drincic rates Kerala Blasters supporters the best in the country. Having completed a season in the Indian Super League, the Montenegrin has only grown closer to the enviable fanbase of the team in yellow.

“From the very first day, I felt very much welcomed by the fans," Drincic said. "Kerala Blasters fans are the best in India. Every player, especially the foreigners, is really happy to be here. It is easy to adapt,” he said in an interaction with the ISL.

The lanky centre-back has based his assessment on experience from witnessing a packed home stadium, especially the Manjappada stand that puts out giant tifos, or friendly faces in the crowd when the players step out on off days.

“While travelling in Kochi, the fans approach us in shopping malls, and it feels very nice. The passion for football is unbelievable. Almost every game is a full stadium. They support us through both good and bad times. That’s the biggest characteristic because you feel supported when things are not going your way. They are always there for us.”

Drincic wore the captain's armband in the early rounds of the ISL when Adrian Luna sat out due to lack of match fitness. Under his leadership, the club secured a thrilling comeback win in their second home match against East Bengal.

Head coach Mikael Stahre has been experimenting with an all-Indian backline lately, leaving Drincic on the bench. But it is unlikely to upset him as he has already committed to the club until 2026. “I have been here for almost one year, and I have signed up for two more years. It feels like my home now.”
