Kerala Blasters Football Club have appointed Abhik Chatterjee as their Chief Executive Officer. He was heading the league and technical operations for Super League Kerala before joining the Indian Super League side.
Abhik has held “key leadership roles at Northeast United FC, Fateh Hyderabad AFC and Odisha FC,” the Blasters said in a press release. The Blasters said Abhik would “work closely with the Sporting Director and management team to further the club’s footballing, commercial and performance objectives”.
“He comes with immense experience, having delivered success in various leadership roles previously. I have immense belief in his capabilities and don’t doubt that under his guidance, the club will reach greater heights,” said Nikhil B Nimmagadda, Director of Kerala Blasters FC.
Abhik said he did not hesitate when the Blasters came calling. “We want to bring success to the club and we want to do it in a manner that breaks barriers and sets standards, both on and off the pitch,” Abhik said.
