Shubman Gill's century powered India to a convincing 142-run win over England in the third ODI to make a clean sweep (3-0) of the series in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

Chasing India's solid total of 356, England were bundled out for 214. Four Indian bowlers, Axar Patel, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya bagged two wickets each.

This was the final ODI game for either side before next week's Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan and the UAE. India had crushed Jos Buttler's England 4-1 in a T20I series ahead of the ODIs.

Gill's 112 off 102 balls was the highlight of the Indian innings. It comprised 14 boundaries and three sixes. While captain Rohit Sharma (1 run) could not replicate his century from the second ODI in Cuttack, Virat Kohli's return to form ahead of the Champions Trophy should excite Indian fans.

Kohli made 52 off 55 balls, while Shreyas Iyer hit a brilliant 78 off 64 balls. Leg-spinner Adil Rashid was the pick of the England bowlers, with 4/64.
