Indian star Smriti Mandhana has been named the ICC Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year 2024. The left-handed opener scored 747 runs from 13 innings in 2024 to finish ahead of Laura Wolvaardt (697), Tammy Beaumont (554), and Hayley Matthews (469).

Mandhana hit a record four ODI centuries last year at an average of 57.86. She hit 95 boundaries and six sixes in the ODI format last year.

In June, Mandhana scored consecutive centuries to power India to a 3-0 series win against South Africa. Another ton came in October in a series decider against New Zealand. In December, she hit 105 against Australia at the WACA in Perth.

Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai was voted the ICC Men's ODI Cricketer of the Year 2024. The ICC Men's ODI Team was devoid of Indians, while four Sri Lankans and three Pakistanis made the cut.
