Mumbai teenager Ira Jadhav has become the first Indian woman to score a triple hundred in the Under-19 one-dayer.

The right-hander, who won't turn 15 until February 19, smashed an unbeaten 346 from just 157 balls as Mumbai posted a record total of 563/3 in 50 overs against Meghalaya in a Women's Under-19 One-Day Trophy in Bengaluru on Sunday. The match was thoroughly one-sided as Mumbai skittled out Meghalaya for just 19 runs to script a 544-run win.

Jadhav hit 16 sixes and 42 boundaries at a strike rate of 220. Captain Hurley Gala scored 116 off 79 balls. Mumbai batters hit 17 sixes in total, besides 63 boundaries. Three Meghalaya bowlers conceded more than 100 runs.

Only four Indian women have scored in excess of 200 in Under-19 one-dayers, starting with the current India captain, Smriti Mandhana (224 not out in 2013). Raghvi Bist (219 not out), Jemimah Rodrigues (202 not out) and Sanika Chalke (200) were the other double centurions in the Under-19 event.

Interestingly, Jadhav went unsold at the recent Women's Premier League auction. She had a base price of Rs. 10 lakh.
