Yashasvi Jaiswal said his maiden tour of Australia was a learning experience despite India surrendering the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after losing the five-match series 1-3.
“Learnt a lot in Australia. Unfortunately, the result wasn't what we had hoped for, but we'll be back stronger, Jaiswal wrote on his Instagram page.
The 23-year-old left-handed opener was one of the best performers in the series. He scored 391 runs, including 161 in Perth, at an average of 43.44, the second-highest in the series.
Jaiswal also hit two half centuries, but India could not perform well as a team, and lost the final Test in Sydney by six wickets on Sunday.
