Krishna Prasad marked his return to the side with a century to help Kerala post their first win in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Hyderabad. Kerala crushed Tripura by 145 runs on Friday.

Aditya Sarvate and Nidheesh M D bagged three wickets each as Kerala bowled out Tripura for 182 after posting 327/5 in 50 overs. For Tripura, captain Mandeep Singh top scored with 78 runs.

Earlier, Krishna Prasad hit 135 off 110, his second List A century after scoring his first, also in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, in December 2023. The 25-year-old right-hander hit eight sixes and six boundaries, and held an 80-run second-wicket stand with Rohan Kunnummal (57).

Kerala had lost three of the four matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, with the second game against Madhya Pradesh abandoned due to bad weather. Krishna Prasad was not used in Kerala's previous matches in the campaign.

Krishan Prasad and Anand Krishnan (22) replaced Ahammed Imran and Shoun Roger in the top-order. Kerala are still without Sanju Samson and Sachin Baby, who is injured. Captain Salman Nizar made 42 not out, while Mohammed Azharuddeen contributed 26.
