Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad's unbeaten century powered Maharashtra to a solid 9-wicket win over Services in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Mumbai.
Gaikwad smashed 148 not out in 74 balls as Maharashtra chased down Services 204 in 20.2 overs. Gaikwad smashed 11 sixes and 16 boundaries to script an easy win for Maharashtra.
Earlier, Services captain Mohit Ahlawat scored 61 to help his side to 204. S S Bachhav and P C Dadhe bagged three wickets each for Maharashtra.
Right-hand batter Gaikwad, who captains Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, has represented India in T20I and ODI cricket. However, he has not been part of the national set up since July this year when he was not required to bat in a comfortable 10-wicket T20I win over Zimbabwe.
