Kerala crushed Meghalaya by an innings and 391 runs in the Vijay Merchant Trophy U-16 boys' cricket in Lucknow on Wednesday.

Resuming day two at 242/6, Kerala declared the innings at 478/8. Thomas Mathew scored an unbeaten 152, while captain Ishaan M Raj made 93. Meghalaya had been bowled out for a paltry 25 in their first innings, with leg spinner Nandan R Nair bagging six wickets, giving away no runs.

Meghalaya batters managed to get 62 in their second essay. Nandan claimed three more wickets, while Eshaan Kunal bagged four.
