Kerala dismissed Meghalaya for a paltry 25 runs and mounted a massive lead on day one of their Vijay Merchant Trophy U-16 boys' cricket in Lucknow on Tuesday.

Kerala were 252/6 at stumps, leading by 227 runs. Opener Leroy Joaquin Shibu made 109, while captain Ishaan M Raj was unbeaten on 44.

Earlier, leg spinner Nandan R Nair bagged 6 wickets, giving away no runs in 7.3 overs, whil Abdul Basith claimed two to skittle out Meghalaya. Vijay Merchant Trophy matches are played over three days.
