Thrissur: A 17-year-old, Abhishek from Irinjalakuda, was murdered at the Children’s Home at Ramavarmapuram, Thrissur, on Thursday morning.

The crime was committed by a 16-year-old inmate, who attacked Abhishek with a hammer, fatally striking his head. Despite being rushed to the Thrissur Medical College Hospital, he was pronounced dead. The body is currently kept at the hospital mortuary. 

According to the sources, the boys had a prior altercation, which escalated in the morning, leading to a confrontation that caused the accident. Viyyur police have launched an investigation into the incident.
