A man was beaten to death by his neighbour in Thrissur on Monday. The deceased, Thomas, was murdered by Pramod, a KAAPA (Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act) accused, using a wooden plank and a concrete brick.

After the attack, Pramod attempted to flee in an auto but was apprehended by the Mala police at Valiyaparambu Junction. He is currently being questioned in police custody.

The duo have had multiple altercations through the years, police said. Thomas suffered injuries to his head, both legs and one hand. He was declared dead at the scene, police added.
