Kochi: A five-year-old migrant boy died after an uprooted coconut tree fell on him near his rented residence in Ponjassery, Perumbavoor, on Saturday morning.

The deceased, Al Ameen, the son of Assam native Mohammed, was rushed to a private hospital in Aluva following the incident, but doctors were unable to save him, police told PTI. A case has been registered to investigate the matter.
