Palakkad: A 24-year-old woman who was under treatment after a bike crash in Chuvattupadam, Vadakkanchery, Palakkad, died on Friday. The deceased, Evion, was riding pillion with her collegemate Sanal Saji (25) when their bike crashed into a lorry parked on the side of the road.

The duo was on the way to Kodaikanal when the accident took place, police said. Sanal died on the spot, whereas Evion, who was under treatment, succumbed to her injuries at Thrissur Jubilee Mission Medical College Hospital.

Sanal is the son of Saji from Pampady. Evion is the daughter of Francis Xavier from Changanacherry. The bodies were handed over to their relatives after the post-mortem at the Thrissur District Hospital.
