Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a temperature rise of 2°C to 3°C above normal in isolated areas of Kerala on January 2 and 3. The temperature rise, combined with high humidity, is likely to create hot and uncomfortable weather conditions.

Responding to the forecast, the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has issued an advisory, urging the public to take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of the heat.
