Former minister Kadavoor Sivadasan no more

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Kerala minister and veteran Congress leader Kadavoor Sivadasan passed away. The 87-year-old breathed his last at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram in the wee hours of Friday.
The body has been taken to the office of the Kollam District Congress Committee (DCC) where public can pay their last respects from 10 am. The body will be taken to his house at Anandavalleeswaram in Kollam by 11.30 am.
The funeral will be held at 4 pm at the Mulamkadakam public crematorium in Kollam.
Sivadasan entered politics by participating in students' agitations in the state.
He got elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1980. He became a minister in the four out of five terms he served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly.
Sivadasan represented the Kundara and Kollam legislative assembly constituencies.
He had held the portfolios of labour, forests and wildlife, electricity, health and family welfare in the governments of AK Antony and K Karunakaran.
