Hyderabad: Telangana BJP MLA Raja Singh on Friday asked Ayyappa devotees travelling to Sabarimala to avoid visiting mosques during their pilgrimage. Speaking to reporters, Singh emphasised the importance of adhering to the 'Ayyappa Deeksha' rituals, cautioning that visiting a mosque, such as the one dedicated to Vavar, would render devotees "impure."
The Goshamahal MLA described the practice of devotees visiting the mosque as a "conspiracy," reported PTI. He also appealed to the Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, A Revanth Reddy and N Chandrababu Naidu, to formally request the Kerala government to allocate 10 acres of land for constructing accommodation facilities for pilgrims.
