Mumbai man's 2nd wife kills 3rd with help of 1st wife's 2 daughters and one's lover

Even Agatha Christie would have found it tough to crack this Bollywood-crime-thriller-style murder but the Mumbai police unravelled the mystery within a week and arrested the second wife of a labour contractor for killing his third wife.

The cops also nabbed 45-year-old Sushil Mishra's two daughters from the first wife and lover of one of the daughters for helping in the crime.

The bizarre murder story was reported from Mumbai's Nalasopara area on Thursday.

According to police, 35-year-old Yogita Devre's body was found wrapped in a blanket in an uninhabited area of Nalasopara on March 1.

Cops were called and they got no clue from the spot. Soon a team was formed and the sleuths started checking the CCTV footages from nearby buildings. After going through several CCTV clips the cops came to the conclusion that the body was dumped on the spot by some persons who came in an auto-rickshaw.

Nalasopara police scanned around 4000 auto-rickshaws and finally zeroed in on the driver who brought the body to the spot.

The driver revealed to the police that a woman had called the autorickshaw to take another ailing woman to hospital. He helped the cops to identify the woman who had hired the rickshaw.

Soon, police nabbed Parvati Mane from her flat. After a few hours of questioning, Parvati revealed the sordid murder plot.

Parvati is the second wife of Sushil Mishra, who is a labour contractor. His first wife lives in Uttar Pradesh and in that marriage he has two daughters. After coming to Mumbai, he married Parvati in 2017 and started living with her in Nalasopara. His first wife was aware of this but she did not object to this as he was providing financial help to both the wives.

However, last year he met Yogita Devre and fell in love. He married her and started living with her in her flat in Nalasopara area itself. Parvati was furious about her husband's new wedding and this anger aggravated when he once insulted her in front of his new wife. He even refused to continue his physical relationship with her apart from stopping the financial help. The two daughters from his first wife were also living with Parvati and Sushil also stopped giving them money.

Infuriated over this, Parvati decided to avenge the insult and roped in her two step-daughters for the crime. The lover of one of the daughters also promised to help them take revenge on Sushil's new wife .

Parvati came to know on February 28 that Mishra had gone to Ahmedabad in Gujarat for a wedding and immediately decided to eliminate Yogita. Parvati, Mishra’s two daughters and one of the daughter’s boyfriend went Yogita's apartment in Link Road and strangled her in the night. The had given the apartment's security guard booze and got the duplicate key to enter the flat. They wrapped the body in a blanket and hired an autorickshaw. They told the driver Yogita was unwell and needs medical care. However, on way to the hospital, Parvati dumped the body on the roadside.

Another version is that the driver was the younger daughter's boyfriend and he helped them to take the body.

On March 1, the body was found by locals, who approached the police. The sleuths have arrested Parvati, Sushil's two daughters and the boyfriend of one of them.
