The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of its Class 10 examinations on Wednesday.
The results are announced online via official result portal cbseresults.nic.in.
According to CBSE officials, there is a marginal increase in pass percentage since last year - 91.46 per cent students passed the examination in 2020. Trivandrum region records the highest pass percentage of 99.28, Guwahati region records lowest at 79.12.
Over 1.84 lakh students scored above 90 per cent while more than 41,000 students scored above 95 per cent marks.
As was the case with Class 12 exam results, girls outperformed the boy once again recording 3.17 higher pass percentage.
It is unlikely that a merit list for the Class 10 examinations will be published this year.
The Board had earlier, taking into consideration the exceptional circumstances amid the coronavirus pandemic, withheld from publishing the list when they announced the Class 12 examinations on Monday.
However, final confirmation on this is still awaited from the board’s end.
The results are on the basis of an alternate assessment scheme after pending examinations were cancelled in wake of the COVID outbreak in the country.
As per the four-pointer scheme, marks have been awarded on basis of marks scored by a student in his or her best performing subjects.
