Denmark's Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, a 21-year-old entrepreneur and professional dancer, took home the 73rd Miss Universe crown, beating 125 fellow contestants. This is Denmark's first win in the competition. Nigeria's Chidimma Adetshina was the first runner-up, and Mexico's Fernanda Beltran was adjudged the second. India's Rhea Singha failed to make it to the top 12. The pageant was held at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City. The top five also included Thailand's and Venezuela's contestants. Victoria took the crown from the previous winner, Sheynnis Palacois, from Nicaragua.
The winner, nicknamed a 'Human Barbie' by many for her resemblance with the doll, wore a bright pink off-shoulder gown with a plunging neckline embellished with intricate sequins for her finale. Her silver blonde curly locks added a smooth touch to it. As per reports, Victoria has a bachelor's degree in marketing and business. She also wishes to be a lawyer who advocates animal rights causes and mental health support. Earlier, she had also won a place in the Top 20 of the Miss Grand International of 2022.
