Adv Niranjana Naduvathra, a resident of Thiruvalla, secured a fancy registration number for her vehicle spending Rs 7.85 lakh in an auction. Niranjana Naduvathra, Director of Naduvathra Traders, obtained the number KL 27 M 7777 through the auction for her Land Rover Defender HSE. The intense bidding war took place under the Thiruvalla RTO.
This is one of the highest prices ever paid for a fancy number in Kerala. Earlier, actor and director Prithviraj had spent Rs 7.5 lakh for his desired number for a vehicle registered in Kochi. Niranjana, a resident of Thiruvalla, has now surpassed Prithviraj by acquiring her favourite number 7777 through auction. She purchased the Range Rover Defender HSE for Rs 1.78 crore.
Naduvathra Traders is a company that supplies materials for national highway construction and other projects. Niranjana, daughter of Anil Kumar and Saji Bhai, from Naduvathra Veedu, is also the Director of Earthex Ventures Pvt. Ltd. Niranjana's business interests include quarries, crushers, and related fields.
Niranjana said that owning her desired number was a big dream and that the government could use the revenue generated from such auctions for various developmental activities. KL 01 CK 1, previously owned by KS Balagopal from Thiruvananthapuram, holds the record for the most expensive fancy number in Kerala. Balagopal had spent Rs 31 lakh for the number, including a fee of Rs 1 lakh. Prior to that, KL 01 CB 1 was auctioned for Rs 18 lakh and KL 08 BL 1 for Rs 17.15 lakh.
