The reason why monkeys turn out to be the most curious creatures of all is perhaps their resemblance to human beings. Though the primates mostly exhibit animal instincts, their motility features are similar to human beings. On many occasions, they display astoundingly striking intelligence too.
Now, a video which surfaced on social media shows a monkey flying a kite in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and is going viral. While some young men are flying kites, a monkey too sitting on a terrace snatches the string and flies it. After that, the monkey takes control of the kite. People below can be heard shouting and hooting. But the monkey pays no heed and continues to fly the kite.
Though the view evokes fun and laughter, people are surprised by the skill the monkey displays. The monkey handles the string of the kite, called manjha in Hindi, and keeps pulling it close to it using its forelimbs and with an ease which only humans can apply. The video shows the monkey finally grabbing the kite.
The video was originally posted on the Instagram handle by the user, 'mahadev_ _833'. However the video went viral after an X (formerly Twitter) user Rosy shared the clip and captioned the video, 'India Is Not For Beginners, Monkey Flying a Kite in Benaras'
