Bengaluru: The unlimited potential of artificial intelligence should be harnessed in routine life by minimising its negative influence, writer Ravi Bapna has said. He also advocated for strict regulations and boundaries to prevent the misuse of AI, including the dangers posed by deepfake technology.

He shared these insights while releasing his book 'Thrive: Maximizing Well-Being in the Age of AI' in Bengaluru. Co-authored by Bapna, a professor at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, and Anindya Ghose, a professor at the Stern School of Business, New York University, the book explores ways to leverage AI to enhance quality of life across various sectors.

Investor and columnist Narayan Ramachandran was the chief guest at the event. The book discusses how AI can be used to raise the standard of living in different sectors, paving way for a quantum leap across various fields. During the discussion, participants also highlighted AI’s current limitations, particularly in creative fields such as film and music, where human touch remains irreplaceable.
