Janhvi Kapoor shot in ‘life threatening’ conditions for Devara’s Chuttamalle: Why was she scared like Friends’ Monica?

The ‘Chuttamalle’ song from Kortala Siva’s NTR Jr - Janhvi Kapoor-starrer ‘Devara’ impressed fans even before the release of the film, with Anirudh Ravichander’s music, Shilpa Rao’s singing and the performance of the lead actors, in addition to the beautiful locations they were shot in. The song primarily had the backdrop of a beautiful beach in Thailand. However, only when Janhvi recently shared the ‘behind the scenes’ of the song did her followers know the risks she took to get the beautiful shots of the song. In the video, Jahnvi says shooting for ‘Chuttamalle’ might be the most life-threatening moment, as she had to venture into jellyfish-infested waters for it. In one of the BTS videos, you can even see a warning board on the shore that says, ‘Beware of Jellyfish.’ Why is it scary?
How can a jellyfish sting affect you?
Remember the ‘Friends’ episode where Monica is stung by a jellyfish while on the beach with Joey and Chandler? From mild irritation to extreme pain, a jellyfish sting can mess with your health in various ways, depending on certain factors like:
1) How bad the sting is
2) They type of jellyfish
3) Amount of venom entering your body
4) Individual bio response to the venom
Effects of jellyfish sting and treatment
A burning or throbbing pain, swelling, redness, itching, rash, raised welts, allergic reactions like hives, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps, spasms, rapid pulse, dropping blood pressure, cardio issues, headache and dizziness are some of the effects of a jellyfish sting. Sometimes in the long term, individuals can also experience scarring and sensitivity in the area where they got stung.
Was Joey’s treatment right?
In Friends, Joy ‘stepped up’ for Monica by urinating on her leg to help her reduce the pain. However, this is not a medically recommended procedure or an effective treatment for the sting. In fact, it can also worsen the sting. Rather, you can rinse the stung area with vinegar, remove the tentacles using tweezers (don't use hands), or even try soaking the affected area in hot water. Seek immediate medical attention or pain relief medications after consulting with a doctor.
