Myalgia simply refers to aches and pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons. According to Johns Hopkins University, a range of reasons can cause the condition, including overuse, trauma, tension, certain illnesses and their drugs, and even injuries. The actor having generalised myalgia can mean that he is experiencing discomfort throughout his body. Quite a few approaches are taken to alleviate these symptoms and cure the body, including rest and recovery, hydration and nutrition, pain relief, physical therapy, heat or cold therapy, massage, ergonomics, stress management and lifestyle modifications.
