Nestled between the misty Nilgiri mountains in Gudalur, Tamil Nadu, is this dreamy abode that celebrates the chic style of contemporary architecture. The house, built away from the bustle of the city, looks like a serene dew drop amid refreshing greenery.
This nature-friendly house has been designed by catering to the needs and likes of Captain Jinu Abraham and his wife Dr. Neena. The vast front yard, beautiful garden, the tall trees that surround the house and the spacious parking area where more than one vehicle could be parked, amazingly project the fabulous elevation. From the open balcony, you could enjoy the breathtaking views of the charming Nilgiris. Sitting spaces too have been arranged here, turning it into a cosy spot.
There is a sit-out, living area, dining space, courtyard, an open kitchen, main kitchen, prayer room, three bath-attached bedrooms and a study area on the ground floor. Meanwhile, the upper floor has a family living area, reading space, gym and a balcony too.
The formal living area looks elegant and sophisticated with the vitrified tile flooring. The beautiful couch, small coffee table and the TV unit add grace to this area. An open window is what separates the living and the dining areas. Meanwhile, the quaint courtyard with a single sitting space is the most tranquil spot in the house.
The dining area is a comfortable space arranged near the staircase. A small study area too has been arranged beneath the stairway to save space. The staircase, a magnificent steel structure with teakwood steps and glass hand railings is a scintillating piece of art. Meanwhile, the dining table crafted in artificial marble, matching chairs and the stone fountain grant a mesmerizing ambience to the dining area.
There are three bedrooms on the ground floor while the upper floor has two bedrooms. The number of bedrooms on the upper floor was reduced to add a beautiful balcony here. The cabinets, cot and other furnishing in the bedrooms are done in mica finish. Meanwhile, there are lots of windows in the bedrooms that open to the beautiful nature outside.
A simple yet elegant reading room too has been arranged on the upper floor. Besides, a gym is part of this area as per the instructions of the owner. A separate prayer room which exudes divine elegance is arranged in this house named ‘House of Salvation’. The divine pictures placed at various spots in the house and the indoor plants fill the interiors with positive vibes.
