Ismail Komath’s palatial mansion at Kumaranellur in Palakkad, Kerala is a scintillating piece of architecture that surprises you with intricate designer elements and luxurious amenities. The family wanted a single-storey house with four bedrooms and open spaces that welcome ample sunshine and cool breeze to the interiors. The magnificent elevation dons all the exquisite features of colonial architecture while the perfect interiors exude classy vibes.

As the house stands in a sprawling one-acre land, the structure that looks like a double-storey building from outside has been built by leaving lots of space in the front. The driveway paved with natural stones and grass looks regal. Meanwhile, the mansion looks straight out of a colonial-era saga with its giant designer pillars, elaborate cladding works and dormer windows.

The entrance door, exclusively crafted in teak wood, opens to the incredibly spacious formal living area. The interiors boast of the timeless charm of classic Italian marble. Designer wall lighting, exquisite art-works and mesmerizing border designs grant a splendid panache to the interior areas. Sprawling over 7000 sqft area, this beautiful mansion has a sit-out, formal and family living areas, spacious hall, dining area, kitchen with work area, prayer room and four bedrooms with attached bathrooms.

The spacious hall beside the formal living area is the most attractive feature in this house. The family living area is arranged on one side of this hall while the dining space is on the other side. The elaborate sitting area designed in two levels is the highlight of this space. Meanwhile, the designer handrails that separate the area and the majestic dome above it make this space look regal and magnificent.

The cut-outs and the courtyards in the hall bring a slice of refreshing nature into the mansion. The natural lighting and the ambience inside the house keep transforming as the sunlight changes during different times of the day.

The furniture pieces crafted in teak wood exudes classy elegance. Meanwhile, the beautiful design-lighting works on the ceiling of this really tall mansion may leave you spellbound. Besides, the spectacular wall designs and the intricate designs on the ceiling merge with the natural light to create breathtaking views inside the house. The spacious dining area and the family living are extensions of this exuberant hall.

The kitchen cabinets are done in multi-wood with acrylic finish and the counter top has been paved with Korean stone to add an attractive sheen. A spacious work area too has been arranged as part of the elaborate and modern kitchen. The bedrooms are spacious, modern and feature unique designer themes. Meanwhile, the attached bathrooms, designed as spaces for enjoying sunbathing, are truly mesmerizing.

The owner runs a business abroad; so, he had mostly relied on WhatsApp calls to oversee the construction of his dream abode. The design team is proud that they were able to conceive this mansion just as the family had desired. The mansion and the landscape bathe in a captivating shower of golden hue when the highlighter lights are switched on at twilight.
