When Joji Thomas chose a plot close to his old house at Manimala in Kottayam, Kerala his plan was to build his dream abode. Even though the family had to wait for quite a bit of time before the construction began, they were able to do some good homework. They decided to build a single-storey house first with four bedrooms and a staircase to build an additional floor, if required, in the future.

Truss roof is installed above the flat roof and is completed by paving clay tiles. The space between the roofs could be used as a utility area. Moreover, this feature helps in reducing the heat inside the house. The ceiling of the sit-out covers the front steps of the long veranda. Besides granting a traditional look to the structure, this feature prevents the steps from getting wet in the rains.

Noted engineer Sreekanth Pangappat has designed this elegant house with a formal and family living areas, dining space, four bath-attached bedrooms, open kitchen, store room, and a work area. The prayer area that is visible as soon as the entrance door is opened fills the interiors with positive vibes. Meanwhile, the courtyard adorned with a simple coffee table is the highlight of the interiors.

This beautiful house designed in 2450 sqft has four spacious bedrooms with all the facilities. The house with lots of storage, utility spaces and modern amenities is ideal for a small family.
