Jayachandran’s brand new house at Moozhikulam in Ernakulam district in Kerala is quite a head turner for its stunning exteriors and comfortable interiors that boast of all the facilities. Though the exteriors feature the chic contemporary style, the interiors are an amazing blend of traditional and contemporary architecture. The formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen and four bedrooms are on the ground floor while the library and an open space are in the upper storey.

The custom-made furniture exudes traditional charm and goes well with the general theme of the interiors. The entrance door opens to the formal living area from where one could enter the family living space. The circular living area, designed in double height, is the highlight of the interiors. The wash counter and the stairway too are arranged just beside this area.

The bedrooms are designed following the theme of minimalism that adds classy charm to the flawless features. These rooms do not don harsh colours or over – the – top decor. The huge windows lure cool breeze that give a pleasant feel inside the rooms. The bath attached bedrooms stand out for their simplicity and required facilities.

The modern kitchen has Korean stone paved on the counter top. Meanwhile, the shutters are made with marine ply with acrylic lamination. The family is thrilled that their beautiful dwelling is a spectacular blend of enchanting looks and modern facilities.

Elegant wall decorations and display units, custom-made furniture, stylish furnishings and panelling add to the splendid look of the interiors. The perfect light fittings lend a dreamy look to the spaces during the day and the night.

The display units are unique pieces that exude the classic Victorian charm. The smartly designed light fittings play a vital role in enhancing the panache and elegance of these artefacts. The designer is proud and happy that he could design a stylish house with pleasant atmosphere in the interiors, that too by catering to the likes and preferences of the family members.
