Sajimon’s brand new house stands regally in a sprawling 40 cents plot, just beside the main road, at Muttom near Thodupuzha. The unique and intriguing design is the highlight of this elegant house. Though the house may seem like a double storied structure from the outside, it actually is single storied structure. Excellent views of the scintillating natural beauty that surround the house are possible from all directions. The drive way is separated by paving the natural stones. Lush green meadows and beautiful flower gardens adorn the landscape.
The plot lies in two levels and the architect took advantage of this unique feature of the plot to design a basement floor as well. The car porch and a utility space too are arranged in this basement floor. The foundation of the house is built using the column beam structure. Concrete roofing tiles are paved on the GI truss work on the roof. The area under this could be used as an excellent utility space.
This mesmerizing house, built in 4000 sq ft, has a car porch, formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen, courtyard, four bedrooms and a basement utility area. Several open spaces are arranged for excellent ventilation and to let in pleasant sunshine as well. The glass windows open to the beautiful sceneries outside.
The interiors are vast and spacious without the hindrance of unnecessary walls that separate spaces. Tiles in wooden finish are paved on the floor in the common areas. The entrance leads to the main hall where family living area, dining space and the courtyard have been arranged. The skylight on the ceiling above the courtyard brings in natural light that illuminates the entire hall. The floor here is separated by paving the wooden tiles.
A hanging cot is arranged here, which is the liveliest space in the house. The windows in the bedrooms open to the beautiful gardens outside. The bath attached bedrooms have wardrobes and separate dressing spaces and study areas. The kitchen is designed with all the modern facilities. An adjacent work area completes the kitchen.
The beauty of the charming nature is reflected in the interiors as well. The lush green meadows, the fresh air and the unique features of the plot play vital roles in filling the interior spaces with incredible positive energy.
