P.S. Jishnu, who is in his eighth standard, wants to dedicate his poem collection to his mother.
Christened 'Snehathanal', the collection is to be published at a function at Perumbavoor Koovappady Kunnummel Higher Secondary School. The collection has about 36 poems. The collection is to be published by Sippy Pallipuram. The Nallapadam programme of Malayala Manorama had taken the initiative for this.
Jishnu cannot move his hands and legs and his vision is 40 per cent impaired. He was admitted to school when he was 10 when panchayat officials visited his house. He was bedridden until then. He improved because of the environment at school. His verbal poems were written down by teachers and friends, which were then collated and is to be published.
His mother brings him to school each day and she stays with him for the whole day. His mother, teachers and friends make up his world.
