Toronto: A Book 'Genre of Genders', aimed at the upliftment of transgenders was published for Navodaya Movement jointly by Rt. Rev. Dr Geevarghese Mar Theodosius and Mrs Preethi Kuruvila Thursday.
It was released by the Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma church, Rt. Rev. Dr Joseph Mar Thoma by receiving the the first copy of the book. Copies of the book were given to the friends and supporters of Navodaya Movement by the president.
This book 'Genre of Genders' is the result of awareness programs conducted by the Navodaya Movement of the Mar Thoma church in various parts of India. It stresses the need for the church and its members to be actively involved in supporting the marginalized and focused on efforts to integrate the Transgender community with mainstream society.
The Mar Thoma church is trying to make a difference in the lives of the transgender community by spreading awareness among them.
