The London Fashion Week that concluded recently showcased a range of costumes from leather tutus to unstructured knitwear. While the mini dress was the centrepiece of the spring-summer 2025 collection by JW Anderson, Jonathan Anderson's label, presented Sunday at London Fashion Week, a Malayali designer's 'Latex' collection captivated the audience at the event.

With the London Fashion Week SS25 event, K S Hari, a designer hailing from Nedumankavu, Kollam, cemented his place in the global fashion arena and extended his international recognition for his ready-to-wear collection under the brand name 'HARRI'.

Hari first came into the fashion limelight last year when singer Harry Styles sported his inflatable balloon-inspired outfits at the Brit Awards. Since 2022, this young designer has been a consistent presence at the London Fashion Week. This time, he presented a 'Womenswear' collection made using his signature latex.

While dance-ready models strutted down the runway in sumptuous tutus and leotards in black, brown, and khaki leather, models wearing mini and maxi versions of the 'balloon' skirt designed by Hari, which was making a comeback since spring, enthralled the audience.

The fact that Hari is among the 5 Indian designers who got the opportunity to showcase their work at the London Fashion Week, one of the major fashion events, signifies the growing acceptance of Indian talent in the global fashion scene.
