Ingredients
1 banana blossom
500 gms clams
1 cup grated coconut
3 green chilies
5 shallots
3 garlic cloves
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt as required
Water as required
Curry leaves
A pinch of pepper powder
Preparation
Cook the cleaned clams with some salt, turmeric powder and water as required
Finely chop the banana blossom (rub some oil on your palms while chopping so that the sap won’t stick onto your palms)
Rub turmeric powder and coconut oil on the chopped banana blossom
Crush grated coconut, green chilies, shallots, garlic and turmeric powder in a mixer jar
Heat 2 tsp coconut oil in a pan
Sauté the shallots and the coconut mixture
Now add the banana blossom and the cooked clams
Add some more grated coconut
Add pepper powder
Mix well
Allow everything to cook for some more time
Finally, sprinkle some coconut oil before turning off the flame.
