Omani halwa is a melt in the mouth dessert that has a jelly-like texture. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup cauliflower
2 cups of sugar
1 tbsp cardamom powder
Cashews as required
1 tbsp rose water
A pinch of saffron
2 tbsp butter/ghee
1 litre water

Preparation
Soak the saffron strands in rose water
Mix the cornflour in water and strain it
Heat butter/ghee in a pan
Fry the cashews and set them aside
After that, caramelise the sugar by heating it in a pan
When the sugar turns brown in colour, pour the cornflour mix
Mix well without forming any lumps
Now add the saffron that has been soaked in rose water
Mix well
Into it add the fried cashews
Give everything a good mix
Sprinkle the cardamom powder as the last step
Cut the Omani halwa into pieces and enjoy.
