Fresh clam meat roasted with shallots and flavoursome masala is the perfect dish to enjoy with piping hot rice. Here is how to make this tasty clam meat fry.

Ingredients
½ kg clam meat
¼ cup coconut shards
Ginger
Garlic
25 shallots
3 green chillies
2 onions
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 ½ tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp fennel powder
1 tbsp pepper powder
½ tsp garam masala
Salt as required

Preparation
First, clean the clam meat
Wash the meat at least 8 times in hot water mixed with salt and turmeric powder
Cook the cleaned clam meat in an earthen chatty with salt and turmeric powder without adding water
Meanwhile, heat coconut oil in another earthen chatty
Fry the coconut shards
Into it add the shallots, ginger and garlic
Sauté well
Now add the onions and the green chillies
Sauté well
Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, fennel powder, pepper powder, garam masala and salt
Sauté until the raw smell of the powders is gone
Now add the cooked clam meat
Mix well
Cook for a minute on low flame with the lid on
Roast as per taste and preference
Serve the spicy clam meat fry with rice.
