Chana masala chaat made with chickpeas, spices, and the special homemade chaat masala is a delicious and healthy snack.

Ingredients
1 cup chickpeas
1 onion
1 small tomato
1 green chilli
¼ tsp cumin
½ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp fennel powder
4 sprigs coriander leaves
Juice of half lemon
Salt as required
1½ tbsp butter/ghee

Preparation
Cook the chickpeas with salt and turmeric powder
Heat butter/ghee in a pan
Add the chopped onion before the butter/ghee melts completely
Add the cumin and green chillies as well
Into it add fennel powder and chilli powder
Sauté well
Add the tomatoes and mix well
When the masala turns fragrant add the cooked chickpeas
Mix well and cook for 3 more minutes
Add salt as required
Add chopped coriander leaves
Pour in the lemon juice just before turning off the flame
Enjoy hot channa masala chaat.
