Ingredients
2 apples
1 ½ tbsp ghee
¼ cup sugar
¼ tsp cinnamon powder
¼ tsp cardamom powder
A pinch of nutmeg powder
1-2 tbsp almonds
A pinch of food colour (optional)
Preparation
Peel the apples, cut into square pieces and grind them into paste
Heat ghee in a pan and add the apple paste
Cook until the paste thicken up
Stir continuously so that the apple paste doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan
Now add sugar, cinnamon powder, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder
Stir until the sugar dissolves and the halwa thicken up
Turn off the flame when the halwa begins to separate from the pan
Garnish with chopped almonds.
