It is a very unique and delightful dish prepared in the middle and northern part of Kerala. This classic lip smacking Kerala delicacy is a one pot meal. Small rice dumplings are steamed and mixed with the flavourful chicken meat.

Ingredients
1 cup rice flour
Salt as required
1 tbsp ghee
1 coconut
Oil as required
1 ½ inches ginger piece (crushed)
1 ½ tsp garlic (crushed)
2 onions (chopped)
3 green chillies (chopped)
¾ tsp cinnamon
¾ tsp cloves
½ tsp fennel seeds
2 tsp black pepper corns
1 ½ tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp chilli powder
¾ tsp turmeric powder
1 chicken (cut into small pieces)
2 bunches curry leaves
3 shallots (chopped)

Preparation
Boil some water in a vessel 
Add rice flour and salt and cook for some time
Add ghee and knead well
Shape into small balls 
Steam these rice balls
Heat oil in a pan
Add crushed ginger and garlic
Sauté 
Once it changes colour, add chopped onion and green chilli
Sauté until it turns golden brown
Grind cinnamon, cloves, fennel seeds, black pepper corns, coriander powder, chilli powder, and turmeric powder into a smooth paste
Add this into the previously sautéed mixture
Sauté well
Once the raw smell of the masala is gone, add the chicken pieces
Mix well and cook
Add the second extract of the coconut milk
Cook for some time
When the chicken is half cooked, add the steamed rice balls
Cook well
Add the first extract of the coconut milk
Heat oil in another pan
Add chopped shallots and curry leaves
Roast well
Pour this tempering over the cooked dish
