A weekend special calls for interesting experiments! Take this luscious pie; it has accessible ingredients that together make for a particularly delicious dessert that just wouldn't disappoint you.
Ingredients
For the crust
200 g digestive biscuit/ Marie biscuit
1/3 cup butter
2 tbsp golden syrup
For the filling
1 ½ cup mashed cottage cheese
½ cup peanut butter
1/3 cup ground sugar
¼ cup thick cream
For the topping
1 ½ tbsp ground sugar
¼ cup cream
1 ½ tbsp butter cut into small pieces
50 g milk chocolate pieces
Chocolate curls to garnish
(Use a peeler to scrape out chocolate curls off the bars)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 180 degree C
Take biscuit in a ziploc bag and crush with a chapati pin
Mix butter and golden syrup. Melt these in a pan and mix together with finely ground biscuit
Place this mixture in a slotted 9 inch size pie dish. Keep it pressed
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Keep it outside to cool
Take the cottage cheese, peanut butter and sugar and beat well for preparing filling
Gently add and mix the well-beaten cream to the cottage cheese mixture using a metal spoon. Filling is now ready
Spread this mixture uniformly over the baked base
Add sugar to cream, place on stove, stir and boil to prepare topping
After sugar melts completely, keep it in low flame for five to six minutes
Remove when it thickens a little and assumes a light yellow color
Add butter and chocolates and make it melt
Pour this topping over the filling and spread it. Keep in fridge for it to set
Garnish with chocolate curls
