Tulsi rasam is an excellent dish that could flush out the toxins from our body and boost immunity. Tulsi or holy basil leaves give it a refreshing fragrance and additional nutrition as well. The rasam tastes amazing with rice and can be easily prepared in just 10 minutes. Here is the simple recipe for tulsi rasam.

Ingredients
Gooseberry-sized ball of tamarind
Asafetida as required
1 tsp toor dal
1 tsp cumin
Salt as required
1 tsp fresh coriander seeds
1½ tsp pepper corns
¼ cup tulsi leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp coconut oil

Preparation
Pour 1 cup tamarind water into a pan
Add asafetida and salt
Boil on low flame
Grind the toor dal, cumin, pepper corns, and coriander seeds
Add this paste into the boiling tamarind water
Mix well
Grind the tulsi leaves into paste
Mix in this paste as well
Take it off the heat when the rasam boils well
Add a simple mustard tempering as well.
