Paal kappa or tapioca cooked in the creamy coconut milk is an iconic Malabari dish. This tastes great with non-vegetarian curries or could be enjoyed in its original flavours. Check out the recipe of the delicious paal kappa.

Ingredients
3 tapiocas
½ cup shallots (chopped)
4 red chillies
1 small cup grated coconut
½ cup coconut milk
2 green chillies
Curry leaves
Salt as required
½ tsp mustard seeds
2 tsp coconut oil

Preparation
Cut the tapiocas into small pieces
Cook them with some water; put the lid on
When the tapioca pieces are almost done add salt and coconut milk
Cook until the coconut milk reduces completely
Into it add the grated coconut
Mix well
Heat coconut oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds
Sauté shallots, curry leaves, red chillies and green chillies
Transfer the cooked tapioca into this pan
Give everything a good mix.
