2 tsp broken raw rice
½ cup sugar
½ tin condensed milk
½ tsp cardamom powder
1 cup white flattened rice (roasted in some ghee)

Preparation
Boil 2 cups milk in a thick bottomed vessel
Add the broken raw rice and cook them by stirring continuously
Add the remaining milk when the rice has cooked well
Now add the sugar and the condensed milk as well
Mix and stir well
Add the cardamom powder when the payasam begins to turn thick
Add the roasted and crunchy flattened rice when the payasam is still warm
Serve the payasam before the flattened rice gets soaked and lose its crunchiness.
